Wheel Pad Webinar for New Caregivers

Past event
Feb 10, 2021, 5:30 to 7:30 PM

On Wednesday 2/10 at 6:30 Wheel Pad is hosting its first webinar about a topic that is integral to our customers: Caregiving. It's called How To Start the Caregiving Process.

Please join us! You can register at wheelpad.com/caregiverwebinar.

What is Wheel Pad and why are they hosting this webinar? We manufacture home attachments and backyard tiny houses that make any property a safe and cozy universally accessible place for people with mobility challenges. We aim to help people stay in their homes: Whether they are seeking to age in place, recover after an accident, or quickly add more square footage for a growing and changing family. We are hosting this webinar because many of our customers ask us, "How do I become a caregiver?" As architects and designers, we provide a physical resource for people seeking to rapidly provide extra space in their home for a loved one with mobility challenges, but we know our limits. This webinar is an opportunity for those people and others like you to learn and ask questions about how to emotionally prepare yourself and your family to become caregivers.

We are excited to host an expert panel- Janet Cramer MS, LICSW has been a caregiver personally. Professionally she provides support for families facing similar issues, as well as marriage and family therapy. Jennifer Jacobs is a caregiver for both her in-laws, the founder of Adaptiva HR, and one of Wheel Pad's customer's in Vermont. Tom Hamilton is Executive Director of Vermont Senior Independent Living Council and brings a great understanding of what kind of state and federal resources are available to those beginning this process.
