The first Young Tradition Vermont (YTV) Youth Commission has completed their CD project -- in spite of the pandemic! An hour-long program, streamed live on Young Tradition Vermont's Facebook page this Friday January 15 at 7 pm, showcases the accomplishments of this small group of young musicians led by Cornwall's own Romy Munkres, the first ever Youth Tradition Vermont commissioned artist.

The show features some videos of the original compositions and arrangements found on the CD, informed by the group's study with master artists such as Jeremiah McLane and Pete Sutherland, as well as interviews. The show is free (donations to YTV always appreciated); CDs are $13 including shipping; $10 for pickup.

Joining Romy will be group members Abi Sandy, Hadley Stockwell, Fern Tamagini-O'Donnell and brother Ben Munkes. Special guests will be the 2020/2021 Youth Commission ensemble, who have been working with Moira Smiley and are led by Maeve Fairfax with members Anya Hardy-Mittell, Eme Zelis, Hadley Stockwell and Ben Munkres.
