Happy New year to you all. As we face a new and hopefully better year than last year, the Community Allies are poised to begin this year with renewed hope for the future and optimism about the role that all of us can play in creating safe, trusting and respectful communities.

Over the last year members of the allies have worked together to identify the strengths that we bring to the Community Allies, the energy that already exists in this community to create positive change and most importantly to identify the best way to build and strengthen the networks within this community.

We are reinstating the monthly Community Allies meetings in the hope that they will become the opportunity for like-minded individuals to come together to network, share information about what they and/or their organizations are doing, and find support for the difficult work that we are all doing - whether it is eradicating racism, working on food security issues, health, education, resources for the elderly or safe families. Our goal is to create synergy among those who are dedicated to creating a community of fairness and wellness for everyone.

We know that everyone is busy and that there are huge demands on your time and resources. For that reason we will be holding the Community Allies Meeting via zoom (for now) on the second Thursday of the month for only an hour - from 10-11. We will use that hour to make connections and update each other on what is going on.

We look forward to sharing information about the anti-racism work we have been doing over the last few months and hearing about the work that you all have been doing as well.
