Ash Tree Crisis in Southern Vermont Zoom Meeting

The pending ash tree crisis in Southern Vermont, caused by the emerald ash borer (EAB), will be the subject of a Zoom meeting on Monday, January 25 at 10 AM.

The Regional EAB Resource Committee (REREC) a group of representatives from southern Windsor County and parts of Rutland County, and Hannah Dallas, Southern Windsor County Forester for the state, will update participants on the status of EAB in the state, detail how local municipalities may prepare for EAB, and explain some of the steps private property owners may take to deal with the problem.

The meeting will be hosted by Okemo Valley TV. in addition to the members of REREC. Private property owners are invited to join the January 25 meeting.
