Interfaith Council of the Northshire
2021 Martin Luther King Celebration Via Zoom
7PM Tuesday, January 19
The Interfaith Council of the Northshire will host Tabitha Moore as this year's speaker. Ms. Moore was the founder of the Rutland County chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in 2016 and served as its president through 2020. She is a sixth-generation Vermonter who spent most of her life in Vermont, although she was out-of-state for college and graduate school and for another three-year round before returning in 2009. Her talk will focus on her personal Vermont-living experiences and those of her children, at the same time drawing on The Radical King, Cornell West's new book on MLK.
