"My desire to pursue a career where I would be in the woods studying animals, led me to the University of Vermont, where I graduated in 2015 with a degree in Wildlife Biology. I have spent the past several years working on various wildlife projects; Kodiak brown bear resource monitoring and habitat management in Alaska, wolves in Yellowstone, wolverine and lynx in Montana, bats in Yosemite, black bear in Minnesota, and now moose in Vermont, where I was born and raised. I'm currently working on my master's degree at UVM, studying the habitats moose rely on and how habitat selection relates to health.

I have fallen in love with documenting the natural world through the medium of photography. It is these wild landscapes that capture both my imagination and my heart." - Josh Blouin
