Lewis Creek Association will host a presentation by Ethan Tapper, Chittenden County Forester, at our board meeting on Thursday, Jan. 14.  Ethan's presentation will begin at 6:45 PM, and will be about 30 minutes long, with 15 minutes for questions afterwards. Ethan will be discussing the ongoing research into floodplain restoration techniques at the LaPlatte Headwaters Town Forest in Hinesburg. This research includes several experimental approaches, such as plantings of native species, site preparation through plowing, the installation of deer exclosures and active invasive species control.
