Ward 2/3 NPA Meeting with Candidate Forums

Past event
Jan 14, 2021, 6:20 to 8:30 PM

Town Meeting Day will be here before we know it and early/absentee voting starts in February. The Ward 2/3 Neighborhood Planning Assembly is dedicating most of the Jan. 14 and Feb. 11 meetings to candidate forums and information about ballot measures. The NPA meetings are held via Zoom, with an additional YouTube live stream.

The Jan. 14 meeting features a Mayoral Candidate Forum with Mayor Miro Weinberger and City Councilors Max Tracy and Ali Dieng (all confirmed); a Central District Candidate Forum with City Councilor Perri Freeman and Tiki Archambeau (invited); and a Q & A with Central District School Commissioner Jeannie Waltz (unopposed).

The forums will include short opening statements followed by questions from the audience. What local issues are important to you? What do you want to hear from candidates? Submit your questions in the chat during the forums and/or email them in advance to wards2and3npa@googlegroups.com.

The Jan. 14 meeting also includes information about the 2021 NPA funding request process and application deadline, the open seats for Ward 2 and Ward 3 on the Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee, an update from BTV Water Resources about the City Rate Affordability Study, and the regular school commissioner, city council, and state legislator updates.

The meeting starts at 6:20pm with live music and the packed agenda kicks off at 6:30pm. There are several ways to join:
