Join The Ripton Community Coffee House Saturday Jan. 2nd as we ring in a brand New Year with Lissa Schneckenburger and Corey DiMario!

Both Lissa and Corey have performed at the Ripton Community Coffee House and The Town Hall Theater with Low Lily and Corey as the bassist with Crooked Still at Middlebury Festival on the Green.

Raised in a small town in Maine and now living in Vermont, Schneckenburger grew up with music. She began playing fiddle at the age of six, inspired by her parent's interest in folk music. In 2001 she graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music with a degree in Contemporary Improvisation. She has been performing and teaching music around the world ever since. Double-bassist Corey DiMario is one of the most sought after accompanists in the acoustic music scene.

"Schneckenburger's playing is... quietly virtuosic...her voice is pure and clear, full of simple emotion…"-All Music Guide

"To me, music creates community," Schneckenburger says. "Music is what people sing along to, dance to, fall in love to… music brings people together. These songs are part of all of us, and it's an honor to have had the chance to record them.

The concert will be available Sat. Jan 2nd live at 7:30.
