With apologies for an oversight on my part, I hope anyone who takes my suggestion to make noise outdoors at midnight as a form of community celebration and lives near neighbors who might need their night's sleep will think twice and be thoughtful of their neighbors, in which case making indoor noise could be a great substitute! (My suggestion came from having grown up in a culture where this was a typical new year's custom.)

Inside or out, hope you are getting those old pots and pans ready. :)
