This year to show our town spirit and help Vermont Light the Way, Cambridge Area Rotary is running a holiday lights contest. So, deck your yard & House with beautiful light displays for the community to enjoy. The 1st annual Cambridge Area Rotary Holiday Lights Contest awards residential decorators cash prizes for their merits. There will be 5 prizes awarded and homeowners must submit our registration form and pictures by 6pm on December 20th. The categories will be 1) Clark Griswold Grandeur, 2) Best Inflatables, 3) Best use of color and creativity, 4) Classic Christmas and 5) Facebook Fan Favorite (Determined by # of likes/shares). Judging will take place on the 21st, and the top 10 submissions will have a sight drive by on the 22nd. The top 5 homeowners/renters will be contacted before Christmas. This is a fun and wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season, and lift up our spirits during a trying time.

Contest Rules:
1) Submitters must reside in the township of Cambridge. Only 1 submission per household.
2) Homeowner/renter must submit a contest registration form by 6pm 12.20.20
3) Homeowner/renter must submit a minimum of 1 but no more than 3 pictures in .jpg format by 6pm 12.20.20
4) The Contest is residential only, but this could change in future years.
5) No members of the Cambridge Area Rotary or judging panel may submit a registration.
6) In order to spread the prize money around, only 1 of the 4 categories may be selected for consideration.
7) To qualify for the Facebook Fan Favorite category, you must allow permission to use your photograph on the Cambridge Area Rotary Facebook page and event page. If you win that prize, you will not be considered for the Clark Griswold Grandeur/Best Inflatables/Best use of Color & Creativity/Classic Christmas prizes. Top Likes/Shares will be determined at 6pm December 22nd.
8) The Judging panel will narrow the submissions down to 10 potential prize winners on Monday the 21st from the registrations and photos.
9) The Judging panel will each verify and do a drive by on the 22nd of December in the early post sunset hours and then meet virtually to select the top submission for each of the 4 category submissions.
10) Cash prizes will be sent out on the 23rd by mail.
11) Cambridge Area Rotary reserves the right to not use any photo on Facebook if the judging panel determines it is in poor taste.
