Green Up Day Vermont May 3!

Past event
May 3, 2014

Spring is in the air and it's time to spring clean not only your cabinets and closets -- but along our roads and waterways too! Green Up's mission is to promote the stewardship of our state's natural landscape and waterways and the livability of our communities by involving people in Green Up Day and raising public awareness about the benefits of a litter-free environment.

Beginning the week of April 28th green up bags will be available at the Cambridge Town Clerks office. By Wednesday we will drop off some at the Cambridge Village Market, Hanley’s Market, Abuchon Hardware in Jeffersonville for easy pick up.

Please include only roadside trash and only roadside tires and appliances. All full trash bags and misc items should be brought to the corner of a main road for town pick up on Monday. Tires are becoming an issue of cost as Green Up Vermont struggles to obtain donations and the town and conservation commission are helping out with the added cost this year to keep continuing the efforts of clean up.

Green Up Vermont is a non-profit organization so participation and donations make Green Up Day happen! If you are able to donate as well as pick up trash donations of any amount are welcomed!

For more information please contact Jill Richardson at 644-6630 or 760-7517. Also go to the CCC Face Book page! More information is also available on the state website greenupvermont.org.
