Notice is hereby given to the residents of the Town of Fairfield, Vermont that the Fairfield
Planning Commission will hold a hearing on Monday December 7, 2020 at 6:00 PM held
remotely to consider for adoption the following Fairfield Municipal Plan pursuant to Chapter117 of Title 24, Section 4387 and 4384, Vermont Statutes Annotated.

According to Title 24 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated, Municipal Plans must be readopted every eight years or they will expire. This plan update focused on developing a new vision for the future of Fairfield, adding graphics to the Today section of the plan, re-organizing the plan's goals and policies around the new vision, adding an enhanced energy plan, adding new language around forest fragmentation, and adding an implementation table. The purpose of this hearing is to receive and discuss public comment on the Fairfield Town Plan.

The Fairfield Municipal Plan includes 5 Chapters and an Appendix: Introduction; Yesterday; Implementation; Today; Tomorrow, and Enhanced Energy Plan. A full text of the plan is on file in the Fairfield Town Clerk's Office. The plan proposes goals and policies that impact the entire Town of Fairfield. This plan is intended to be consistent with the goals established in Title 24, Section 4302.
