A Community Conversation About the Ski Season

Past event
Dec 1, 2020

You are invited to an online Community Conversation presented by the MRV Chamber of Commerce involving representatives from both ski areas and local lodging establishments. The meeting will take place via Zoom on Tuesday December 1 at 7 pm. The meeting link is noted below.

John Hammond from Sugarbush, Matt Lillard from Mad River Glen and Sean Kramer representing the Mad River Valley lodging establishments will give a brief explanation of how they see the season going, operational plans and the measures being taken to mitigate impact on the community. This will be followed up by a Q&A session moderated by Chamber director, Eric Friedman.

Clearly there are a lot of questions and concerns. In an effort to make the meeting efficient, community members are encouraged to send questions in advance of the meeting to info@madrivervalley.com. There will also be an opportunity to live chat during the meeting if anyone has any additional follow-up questions after the presentations.

Remember that ski area management and most of their employees are also MRV residents and that many lodge owners live in their establishments. They are every bit as concerned and protective of the MRV community's safety as anyone and feel a deep sense of responsibility. Their goal is to make sure that community members understand the facts, know the mitigation measures being taken, have an opportunity to express concerns and to open up a dialogue.

Hopefully you will be able to attend the meeting, but if not it will be recorded so it can be viewed later. Here is the meeting access information
