The Bone War with Paleontologist Alan Zdinak

DINOvember, the McCullough Library's celebration of all things saurian, isn't just for kids! Adults and teens are warmly welcome to attend Paleontologist Alan Zdinak's virtual presentation on The Bone War, the infamous rivalry between O.C. Marsh and E.D. Cope in the late 19th century which coincided with the discovery of large dinosaurs in the American west.

Paleontologist Alan Zdinak is a fossil preparator at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. He has also worked at the Smithsonian, the Yale Peabody Museum and the American Museum in New York City. He's helped dig up dinosaurs in Utah and New Mexico, and collected fossils all over the US. In a previous career he directed children's television, including Nickelodeon's "Blue's Clues".
