Registration is now open for next week's Everyone Eats - Glover Area free takeout meal Wednesday, November 25. Next week's meal will be salmon with Hollandaise and roast asparagus. The Parker Pie Company and the Center for an Agricultural Economy are thrilled to collaborate to provide free community meals on Wednesdays in West Glover this fall.
Please go to www.sustainglover.org for more information and to access the online form that is open for meal registrations today through Tuesday noon or until all meals are allocated!! The meals are first-come, first served. If you do not have access to the Internet, please call (802) 731-1410 before Tuesday at noon and leave your name, phone number, town, number of meals requested and email. Someone will contact you to confirm.
SUPPORT LOCAL FARMERS AND LOCAL RESTAURANTS by signing up today. The Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE) is working with Parker Pie and community volunteers. Funding for this project comes from Vermont Everyone Eats, a project funded by the federal Coronavirus Relief Fund and made possible through a grant provided by the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development to Southeastern Vermont Community Action. Meals are also available in Hardwick, Craftsbury and Albany through this grant, as well as other community hubs across the state.
We are aware that everyone has been affected by Covid-19 - financially, by extra time demands, by more difficult transportation, by challenges to get to grocery stores and farms as we did in times past. For the grant requirements, by accepting these free meals that person will be acknowledging that their food access has been affected by the pandemic.
Please share with friends, family, and neighbors in Glover, Barton, and other nearby towns.
