Past event
Nov 17, 2020, 1:30 to 2:30 PM

On Tuesday, November 17 at 1:30, Cristine Hammer will present a virtual travelogue to Brazil. The world's 4th largest democracy, it's a country filled with amazing natural beauty. We'll start our journey on the Transpantaneira Highway, with its 127 wooden bridges, to the Pantanal, the world's largest continuous tropical wetland and a UNESCO World Heritage site and Biosphere Reserve. We'll then continue on to the Cristalino River, a Primary Forest environment in the southern Amazon, and an area recognized as one of the richest in biodiversity. Our exploration includes remote jungle trails and waterways, playful monkeys, exotic birds, vibrant plants, and the elusive jaguar. Sponsored by the Community Senior Center.
