Heirloom fruit and vegetables are important to maintaining genetic diversity in our food system and are known for their wonderful flavor. They came about before commercial seed companies existed, and were passed down within families and communities for generations.
On Saturday, April 26, join Mara Welton co-owner of Half Pint Farm and Chair of Slow Food Vermont and Julie Rubaud, owner of Red Wagon Plants for a conversation about heirloom favorites.
A delicious, homemade lunch will be provided.
