Love to bake? Love pie? Then, this one's for you. Wells Village Library is organizing a traditional Thanksgiving pie swap.
Bake a fresh pie using your favorite family recipe and deliver it to the library on Saturday, November 21st between 10:00 AM and noon. To make the swap extra special, participants are asked to share their hand-written recipes, which will be left with the pie. Folks should then stop back to the library sometime between 10:00 AM and noon on Monday, November 23rd to choose a pie someone else has made. Participants will leave with their choice of pie, its coordinating recipe and a free cookbook (while supplies last).
Thanksgiving is special. It's a time for family and community. Considering this year's necessity for social distancing, friends and families may not be able to gather as they ordinarily would. We are, therefore, excited to offer a little something to brighten everyone's spirits. What better way than by giving and receiving a special Thanksgiving Day dessert?
If you'd like to participate, contact Gina by calling the library at 802-645-0611. You can also send an email to wellslibraryvt@gmail.com, send a note through the library's contact page on their website at www.WellsVillageLibrary.com or simply respond to related social media posts on Facebook and Twitter at Wells Village Public Library and @LibraryWells, respectively.
