Lake Iroquois Ash Awareness Walk
When: 10 am to 12 pm Sunday April 27th.
Where: Meet at the Lake Iroquois Boat Launch 24 Beebe Ln, Williston VT.

This walk will be guided by Keith Thompson, the Chittenden County Forester with Vermont Forests Parks and Recreation. The walk will take folks on the Lake Iroquois Rec District Land along Beebe Lane and on forest trails near Lake Iroquois. Attendees will learn to identify ash up close and from a distance as well as some other tree species. Folks will learn and discuss the value of ash at this site for wildlife, water quality, aesthetics, forest health, and the problems that may come if our ash are killed by Emerald Ash borer.
