A Winter Clothing Give-Away will take place at the Calais-Woodbury United Church (the big white church in South Woodbury) on Saturday, November 7th from 9 a.m.—1 p.m.
The church is still accepting donations for this annual event which helps clothe many of our neighbors. Anyone is eligible to come and receive donations on the day of the event.
There are no income guidelines; this is simply a re-distribution of much needed winter supplies within our community.
Acceptable donations include new or used outdoor winter clothes, such as coats, jackets, snow– or ski– pants, mittens, gloves, hats, scarves or boots along with sweaters and sweatshirts. Please no soiled clothing. Donations may be dropped off on the covered side porch of the South Woodbury Church building (go through the fenced in play yard); or bring them inside on Fri., Nov. 6th from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
