Green-Up Day is Saturday, May 3rd!
Please stop in to Morristown Town Clerk's Office and mark the map with the roads you will be greening up and to pick up green up bags.
Here are some suggestions for Green-up day rules of the road:
Wear bright clothes, be sure kids are superviser at all times, work on the left side of the road facing traffic, park all vehicles off the road, wear heavy duty shoes or boots as well as work gloves, dress for the weather, avoid over exertion, drink water.
Please only place roadside trash in the green green-up bags, pick up recyclable cans separately.
The green-up dumpster will be in a new location: Green-up bags should be dropped off at the MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT ON PLEASANT ST., RECYCLES CAN GO TO THE TROMBLEY HILL SOLID WASTE DISTRICT SITE.
If you can't bring the bags to the parking lot site you can leave the tied bags grouped at the roadside during the week before green-up day as well as on green-up day and the Morristown road crew will go around on Monday, May 5th to pick them up.
Please, please do not remove dead animals or suspected toxic waste. Report anything of this nature to the town of Morristown and please have a clear description of the location and nature of such matter.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
