STATE HOUSE CONCERT SERIES
In this unprecedented time, where singing in public has all but stopped, it feels wonderful to be able to present some socially-distanced vocal programs. This is our second concert at the State House Lawn, after a very successful RBG tribute several weeks ago. Of course, this sort of thing is very weather dependent, and we had thought that maybe the outdoor concerts might be over for the season, but tomorrow's temperatures look pretty good -- so here we go!
When and Where: 4pm at the State House Lawn
What: A socially-distanced concert, featuring favorite opera arias and art songs, as well as exquisite music for violin.
Who: Erik Kroncke, bass and Mary Jane Austin, piano, with special guests Lillian Broderick (soprano), Nessa Rabin (mezzo-soprano), Andy Ross (tenor), and featuring Mary Rowell on violin.
Please dress warmly (62 degrees is predicted), bring your own chairs, and remember to give each other ample space when finding seating arrangements. Audience, musicians and singers who are not performing will wear masks. There will be a sign-in contact list for tracing purposes. Donations are welcome.
