Hello Lincolnites,
On a personal note: It would be great to see one and all at the MAUSD Community Engagement Committee town hall tomorrow evening! This is a great opportunity to become a more informed community member, especially if you have or will have a connection to Lincoln Community School or the MAUSD 5-Town community in general. This is no time to sit on the sidelines.
On an elected Board member note: Please join the MAUSD Community Engagement Committee for our upcoming Virtual Town Hall, 10/20 from 6-8pm. During this Town Hall, we will talk about the dilemma we are facing as a District and how it is bumping up against the core educational values we identified as a community last fall. We will also share updates from the Facilities Feasibility Committee which is looking at the connection between 1) our educational values, 2) the data provided by the NESDEC report on our enrollment and demographic trends and programming and facilities capacity, and 3) the facilities scenarios that were brought forward in early 2020. We want to provide a space for the community to ask questions about this information and the process for planning for the future of our District, as well as the ways to be involved in this work.
