Mayor Murfee is holding a Halloween event for Fair Haven pre-school and grade school age children on Saturday Oct 24th from 1-3 in the Fair Haven park (rain date Sunday Oct 25th).

The costume contest for the children will be at 2:30 and will consist of 5 categories...scariest, cutest, most creative, Murfee's pick (best animal costume) and best overall. A prize will be given to the winner in each category. There will be a parade around the park's fountain.

There will also be music, ring toss games, a ball throw, "freeze" dance, art contest and kid's version of beer pong. Prizes for winners and runner-ups. After the costume parade treat bags will be handed out.

Mayor Murfee will have Halloween face masks for sale as well as long sleeve adult t-shirts and shopping bags.
