Art can transform our perceptions of reality and inspire experiences of profound peace. How can the process of making do the same? How can artmaking, crafting, or any physical realm activity be a spiritual practice?
Join Founder and Abbess of the Art Monastery in Springfield (artmonastery.org) Suiko McCall for a one-hour immersion into her personal process of painting. In this hands-on experience, Suiko will share her insights from more than a decade of experimenting at the overlap of spiritual practice and creative practice.
You will need:
- a pencil or pen and sketch paper
and/or
- a paintbrush
- ink, watercolors, or gouache (or any kind of fluid paint)
- wet media paper
No previous experience necessary. Free. Beginners welcome!
