Westford Halloween Walk - Calling all local Goblins and Ghouls to Haunt the Common...
We are having a local pandemic friendly trick-or-treat walk for our Westford youngsters and young-at-heart folk on Saturday, October 31st from 1:30-3:00pm. This Halloween treat walk will take place on the Westford Town Common. (Event is contingent on nice weather. I will post on FPF the night before the event if I have to cancel due to weather.)
Bring your kids and grandkids, and come if you dare to tour this spooky trick-or-treat walk hosted by our neighbors in Westford. Each table will be spine-tinglingly decorated with Halloween spirit for you to enjoy as our table g-hosts pass out treats.
Help us vote for the best decorated table by donating a non-perishable food item(s) to the Westford Food Shelf at the end of the Halloween Walk. The table with the most votes wins a one-of-a-kind custom designed crochet blanket or hat/scarf combo!
We are also raffling a family portrait session by North Photography to benefit the Westford Common Hall, formerly known as the White Church - $1 = 1 ticket cash only, exact change only. Also on the raffle is a pumpkin scented 3-wick candle (2nd place) and a set of yummy smelling hand soaps (3rd place). Please help support the Westford Common Hall, a treasured asset in our community!
Important Safety News:
*Vermont's event capacity limit is 150 people at one time. If there is a big crowd gathered at the entrance to the Halloween Walk, please wait and come back when it is less crowded
*Face masks (COVID-19) are required, except for anyone under the age of 2, any child or adult with a medical or developmental issue or challenge that is complicated or irritated by a facial covering, anyone with difficulty breathing or as further set forth in guidance issued by the Vermont Department of Health
*Practice social distancing! Keep at least 6 feet apart from other groups while waiting. Trick-or-treat tables will be 20 feet apart and entry will be one family group at a time and is ONE-WAY
*Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance and exit of the Westford Halloween Walk
*Treats will be handled safely by the table host, either passed out with gloves and tongs or individually packaged. No one will be reaching into candy bowls out of COVID precaution
*Sadly, with COVID-19, this event will not have any arts and crafts or games. It will strictly be a festive trick-or-treat walk and a local charity fundraiser
