Northfield Recreation Committee is once again holding their annual Trunk-or-Treat on the South Side of the Northfield Common. This event will run from 5:00 PM-7:00PM. Everyone will be asked to social distance and please wear a mask, no face painting this year.... Adults bringing their children to this event will also be asked to wear a mask. Halloween masks will pass for a mask that is required. There will be people at the four entrance points to help with the social distancing. Entrances to this event will be at Norwich University Complex on the corner of Central Street and Depot Square; Fernandez Hardware Store; Common Cafe; and the corner of South Main Street and Depot Square. Items will be placed in the bags of the tricksters to eliminate as much contact as possible. Trunks will be spaced 6 feet apart for social distancing as well.

Some people have decided not to open their homes up for Trick-or-Treating this year and have asked if they could donate to this event instead of passing things from theirs doors. The answer is YES. If you do not want people at your door simply put a sign on your door that your goodies will be passed out on the common. Call Sally at the above number and she will make arrangements for the pick up of the goodies.
