Hey all!! Interested in making Birch Bark Ornaments?

WonderArts is hosting a Birch Bark Ornaments class on Sunday, November 1st, from 1:00 - 5:00pm. The event, led by Penny Hewitt, will guide attendees through the joy and simple pleasure of creating a decoration or gift from materials responsibly harvested in Vermont.

Tickets for the event will be $80 and can be purchased at www.wonderartsvt.org. The event address is 165 E Craftsbury Rd, Greensboro, VT 05841. The workshop will be outdoors and physically distanced, hot drinks and a fire will be provided. With an indoor space reserved for inclement weather.

Participants will have the opportunity to utilize techniques common to the Scandinavian and Russian style of basketry, while crafting birds and stars using strips of inner bark from the paper birch. Attendees will also learn how these materials are harvested and prepared. Hoping to see you there!
