The Chelsea Holiday/Harvest Market is only a few days away!
Sunday October 11th from 9am-2pm outside on the North Common Green.
There will be hot grilled cheese from The Melted Cheesiere. They will be offering a delicious special: their version of the classic Monti Cristo. La Panciata Cinnamon Raisin bread with grilled ham, Havarti & cheddar cheeses, dipped in a french toast batter and drizzled with maple syrup...is it breakfast or lunch? It's DELICIOUS anytime!
We are excited to have Gizmos Pickled Plus this year at our market. You may recognize them from the Chelsea Flea Market. Since you missed their jams, pickles, pies, and quiches at the Flea Market this year be sure to get them on Sunday at our market!
We also have a vendor who we have seen at the Arts on Green event in the past, A Revolutionary Press. Come check out and purchase his thought provoking prints this Sunday.
And we will have two musical guests to enjoy while shopping. In the morning we will have husband and wife duo, Linda Boudreault (vocal and percussion) Best known as the lead vocalist for Dr. Burma, Linda's unique and soulful vocals have won her a devoted following in New England and beyond. Linda has also performed with Dartmouth's Barbary Coast Jazz Ensemble, the Vermont Jazz Ensemble, a variety of small jazz groups, and with the zydeco group The Goat Broke Loose. Linda also performs soul, blues, and country with Linda B and the Barncats.
And Ted Mortimer (Guitar, vocals) Ted formed Dr. Burma, which enjoyed a 25-year run as one of New England's most popular soul/rock bands, after moving to Vermont from LA in the late 80s. He has performed in jazz and blues clubs in New York City with Sandra Wright, including the Five Spot and Manny's Car Wash. He has backed up Bo Diddley and opened for BB King, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and many others. A member of the Stone Cold Roosters, he also performs solo and in a variety of small groups.
In the afternoon we'll hear music by Sean Murray (Irish Space Cowboy). He is a 12- string Guitarist, keyboard, and saxophone player out of Williamstown, VT. He plays originals to classic rock from the 60's, to the present. He grew up playing in bands on the North Shore of Boston and now focuses on his solo efforts.
