AAUW TO SPONSOR CANDIDATE FORUM

FOR BENNINGTON DISTRICTS 2-1 AND 2-2

On Wednesday, October 14, at 7 p.m. the Bennington Branch of the American Association of University Women will sponsor a Candidate Forum for the seven candidates running for state representative in the Town of Bennington. AAUW has held candidate forums every year since 2004.

Invitations to participate were sent to: District 2-1 incumbent Timothy R. Corcoran l l (D), Colleen Harrington (R) and Dane Whitman (D); District 2-2 Incumbents Jim Carroll (D) and Mary A. Morrissey (R) and Peter J. Brady Sr. (I) and Michael Nigro (D).

The Candidate Forum will be moderated by Kathy Wagenknecht, president of the Bennington Branch of AAUW and questions will be asked by branch members.

Each candidate will be asked to give a two minute introduction and closing statement and will have the opportunity to respond to all questions. Questions will cover current concerns facing legislators in the next session,

In cooperation with CAT-TV, the Candidate Forum will be a virtual forum on Zoom. The meeting will be open by 6:45 pm on October 14. To join the Forum, which will also be cable cast on CAT-TV, enter Zoom link bit.ly/AAUWCandidatesForum.
