Come see what Rice Memorial High School can offer your student: an administration that strives for academic excellence, year-long classes taught in-person 4 days/week, 14 Honors and 13 Advanced Placement courses, the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma program (this program is quickly becoming the "gold standard" in academic excellence nationally, and Rice is one of two schools offering this in Vermont), 18 sports teams with an athletic trainer readily available, 3 full-time guidance counselors, and a diverse student body that is committed to providing community service. Rice students develop discipline through academic rigor, and 97.2% of Rice students surveyed stated they are receiving a good education. 40% of students qualify for tuition assistance.
This year, to meet the challenges of Covid-19, Rice received an Amy E. Tarrant Foundation Grant to prepare faculty and staff for in-person learning – technology enhancements, PPE, additional sanitation materials, etc. In addition, Rice recently completed a $12 million renovation that included an overhaul of its heating and ventilation system to ensure air quality safety.
Outdoor Open House: Saturday, October 10th, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. Teachers and coaches will be on hand to answer questions about academic and extracurricular programming. A short presentation featuring current students, alumni, and administrators will provide additional information about life at Rice. Rice encourages all to stay to kick off Homecoming Week with several athletic events. Please contact Stacy Bessette at bessette@rmhsvt.org to RSVP or for more information.
