Collage Cardmaking Workshop at DRML Oct. 11

Past event
Oct 11, 2020, 2 to 4 PM

This hands-on workshop will allow us to get together online for some creative fun. You can gather whatever you'd like to use for making greeting cards that could include any of the following: magazines, photos, colored paper, scrapbooking paper, cardstock, tissue paper, wallpaper, markers, colored pencils or pens, crayons, paints and brush, some form of glue (gluestick, white glue, and/or rubber cement), scissors, paper cutter, ribbon, paper punches, rubber stamps, glitter, beads and baubles, yarn, twine, needle and thread, stapler, and anything else that you think would be fun to use. You can even turn a paper bag into a greeting card!

Megan J. Humphrey has been a Burlington artist for almost 40 years and owns a greeting card company, Sweet Basil Cards. Her original inspiration came from the layers, lace, and romance on vintage Valentines. For better or worse, Megan's never met a piece of scrap paper that she didn't like.

Megan will offer some tips and samples and then we'll all have a chance to cut, paste, and create. She suggests that it might be easier if you decide ahead of time on who or what event you'd like to make a card for—that may help you plan the cards you'd like to make. This program is presented in collaboration with Frog Hollow Vermont Craft Gallery.
