Reuben from Disability Rights Vermont (DRVT) will AJ Reuben DRVT will be talking about Disability Rights Vermont and how you can access them, what they do and how they can help Vermonters with disabilities.
Chanda Beun has been working for the Vermont Center for Independent Living for 7 years. Chanda has worn many hats at VCIL including with our Meals on Wheels program, the Sue Williams Fund and the new RISE program (Resilience and Independence in a State of Emergency). Originally from Michigan, she now calls Vermont home. When she is not running around the office answering calls and emails, she is at home with her family and pets, enjoying cooking and crafts.
A.J. Ruben has been the supervising attorney at Disability Rights Vermont (DRVT) for 18 years, engaged in state and federal litigation to protect the rights of people with disabilities in all areas of life, including housing, employment, education, healthcare with a special focus on preventing abuse and neglect of people with disabilities in Vermont. Prior to DRVT A.J. was a Public Defender in Rutland Vermont and general counsel to the Sovereign Abenaki Nation of Mississquoi, and graduated from Vermont Law School.
