At 7:30 PM this Friday October 9th, The Next Generation event at Chandler will feature 12 young classical musicians from Vermont and New Hampshire showcasing their artistry in a concert presented live for 75 patrons, following the State's Covid-19 guidance. It will also be live-streamed for anyone else who'd like to enjoy this wonderful evening.
Each year the area's music teachers recommend their best students to audition for this 12th annual TNG, and this concert features the teens selected after competitive auditions. On the program are works for solo flute, solo piano, solo tenor sax, and solo oboe, as well as duets for piano and violin and violin and cello. The performers come from Northfield, Randolph Center, Hinesburg, East Montpelier, East Calais, and Essex Junction in Vermont; and Hanover and Meriden in New Hampshire.
In-person audience size is limited (reservations, masks, and social distancing required). For tickets, in-person or live-streamed, call (802) 728-9878 or visit the website chandler-arts.org
