Come and check out some of the most undervalued and least understood native and non native wild food and medicine that thrive in your local bio region and beyond. We'll start with a walk and talk for about an hour or so, and continue with some tutorials on the indigenous culinary arts such as using acorn flour and making wild grape and cranberry juice, and crafting medicinal concoctions for a variety of ailments.
Spend Indigenous People's Day with herbalist and wilderness awareness educator Elliot Cluba, of Herbs and Arrows, learning how people can live a life sustained by and connected to the land. Monday, October 12, 1 pm to 4 pm.
