COVID-19 has made this a difficult year for our organization to do the traditional fund raising events. However, our need for funds has been compounded by the after affects of the 2019 Halloween Storm to our building, that is a historic landmark in Bakersfield. Our immediate need is to address the failing stone foundation of the one story addition on the south side of the building. Our observation after the frost came out of the ground along with the opinion of a Structural Engineer has made us aware of excess settling that has caused damage to the some of interior features as well as the brick veneer on the exterior. We have estimates for the needed repairs that will stop the progression of the damage and make our building more efficient. The price tag is high!!! Any support that you can provide will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
