"October Light" w/Rev. Dr. Nancy J. Crumbine

Past event
Oct 4, 2020, 10 to 11 AM

The paradox of shortening days, coming as it does with such magnificent light, reminds me each year of another apparent contradiction, the all-too-human need to forgive even the unforgiveable, in others and in ourselves.

Every October I turn to the light. For words to help me understand, I turn to the readings of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot, to learn again the wisdom of forgiveness and the wealth of possibility which follows.

In this, the autumn of our discontent, let us take a pause from the continuously difficult news of the day to reconnect, rest, rejuvenate and recenter ourselves in the insight and core belief, not only of Jewish tradition, but of our Unitarian Universalist tradition as well.

Special music with our Virtual Choir.
Please bring percussion instruments to the service.
Service followed by virtual coffee hour (stay on the Zoom call).
