Film Showing: Purple Mountains

Past event
Oct 1, 2020, 6:45 to 8:15 PM

There is a free screening of the new film "Purple Mountains" on the state house front lawn on Thursday evening at 6:45. The film is being put on by SunCommon and Protect Our Winters (POW). We'll be outside, under the full moon so BYO Chairs and/or blankets.

"Purple Mountains" follows professional snowboarder and climate activist Jeremy Jones as he sets out on a physical and philosophical journey to find common ground with fellow outdoor people across diverse political backgrounds. As we enter into the heat of political election season, this film acts as a refreshing reminder that maybe we have more in common than we think.

Stay after the film to hear from POW Athlete and Ambassador Aaron Rice on his world record setting ski season and how we can take action to address our climate crisis.
