Fox Paw School's wildlife tracking club meets this weekend! We'll be meeting every first Saturday of the month from 9am to noon, at the Stranahan Town Forest in Marshfield. Join us as we explore the tracks, sign, trees/plants, and habitat that our North Woods home has to offer! I'll provide some loose structure and instruction, so bring snacks, water, field guides, a mask, and your curiosity. There's no charge, and proper physical distancing will be observed.
Our next meeting will be this Saturday, October 3rd. We'll walk old logging roads in search of deer tracks, search for animal sign in the forest, and identify birds by sight, sound, silhouette, and behavior. We'll learn the observation and interpretation skills that will help connect us intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually to our landscape.
