*& District seeking BHS Student Rep to serve on the School Safety Task Force.*

Tuesday, September 29th at 6:00pm, please join the Burlington School District's Leadership Team and Board of Commissioners' Special Board Meeting and BHS/BTC "Town Hall" with VT Commissioner of Health, Dr. Levine, State Toxicologist, Sarah Vose and representatives from the VT Department of Health, VT Department of Environmental Conservation and the Environmental Protection Agency.

The board will not be monitoring comments on any streaming or social media platforms.)

Following the public Q&A, the board will have an opportunity to ask questions and then move into executive session to get an update on the district's efforts to secure alternate spaces for BHS/BTC students' in person learning.

The meeting will be live-streamed by RETN at https://www.retn.org/live and https://www.facebook.com/retnvt/ and will also be recorded for those who cannot attend.

*Last but BY FAR not least!!*

*BHS STUDENTS! Please consider serving on the School Safety Task Force!*

I realize Front Porch Forum isn't the best way to solicit students…hence…

NEIGHBORS, I implore you to please pass on to BHS students that the district is still seeking student representation on the School Safety Task Force.

This is the group that will review the role of School Resource Officers (SROs) and present recommendations to further the district's policy goals of implementing all elements of Restorative Practices as part of the district priorities of equitable and safe inclusive schools.

This group NEEDS a BHS student rep!
