Genealogy and Slavery Discussion Group Sept. 30

Past event
Sep 30, 2020, 6 to 8 PM

We are a gathering place for people who are researching or just beginning to ask questions about their family history in relation to the system of slavery / enslavement in the Americas. If you are researching ancestors who were enslaved or uncovering the history of ancestors who were owners or traders of those enslaved, please consider our group a place to ask for research advice, share your research stories and discuss the challenges that come from uncovering difficult truths that were long hidden. We also seek to find ways in which our research efforts can connect with the public movement for racial justice. If you are interested in participating, contact doriew@radicalrootsgenealogy.org for more information.
