Join us at Rise Up Bakery for a workshop on making and baking Schwabian Farmer's Bread ("Schwäbisches Bauernbrot"), a hearty and nutritious rustic loaf, while learning to master the principles and techniques that can be applied to a wide range of other breads. Workshop topics include: attributes of the different flours, yeasted vs sourdough bread, - *baker's math* and how to calculate dough temperature, pre-fermented dough, fermentation methods, kneading technique, pre-shaping the loaf, bench rest, final form, - scoring (slashing) loaves: how and why, equipment/accessories needed for home bread baking, and bread storage
