The annual Hort Farm Apple Festival of the Friends of the Hort Farm has been cancelled this year. However, we are taking advantage of the same day to give our lilac collection a much-needed workday. Please join lilac curator Kitty Werner and FHF board members in tackling and removing the bittersweet and grape vines that are attacking our beautiful, and some very rare, lilacs. We'll be working outside maintaining the 6' mandate as much as possible, and masks are required. FREE APPLES to all who volunteer. Bring your gloves, water bottle, pruners and be ready to get to work! Free, of course.

The Lilac Workday takes place at UVM's Horticulture Research and Education Center, 65 Green Mountain Dr., So. Burlington.
