Workshop: How to Talk to Young Children About Racism, Sunday Sept. 27

Past event
Sep 27, 2020, 2 to 5 PM

The Children's Room and the Waterbury Area AntiRacism Coalition are hosting
"How to Talk to Young Children about Race, Racism and AntiRacism,"
A FREE in-person, outdoor workshop for adults with Emma Redden and Grace Aldrich of The Full Story School.
This Sunday at Camp Meade in Middlesex.
Spaces are limited to 25 participants. Masks required.
Participants must pre-register at 241-1374 or childrensroom@huusd.org

If there's enough demand, the facilitators are willing to do the workshop twice, (by adding another one on the morning of Sunday, Sept 27th) - so if you're interested in that option, let Naomi know at childrensroom@huusd.org or 241-1374.

Come join us for what should be a beautiful fall night. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs, grab a coffee and treat at Red Hen Bakery, and get ready to have some grownup discussions about how to talk with our young ones about these challenging topics. You'll be in good company!
