Car Seat Checks This Saturday!

It is National Child Passenger Safety Week!

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among children in the United States. 70% of those fatalities can be avoided by using the proper child safety restraint but, 4 out of every 5 child restraint systems are used incorrectly! Keep those littles extra safe this fall and winter by having their car seats checked for proper fit, installation and use!

This Saturday is the last day of fittings to close out the 2020 National Child Passenger Safety Week.

Child Passenger Safety goes far beyond "car seats" and applies to any passenger under the age 18. Are you wondering if your child is ready for a booster seat? Do you know how to properly use your booster (including that funny plastic piece attached to the string)? Is your child ready to be out of a booster seat? Are they ready for the front seat? How about that 3-in-1 seat you bought, how exactly do you take it apart safely and correctly?

Appointments happen at the Waterbury Ambulance Service on Guptil Road in Waterbury Center on Saturday 9/26/20 from 9am-1pm and can be made by calling 802-798-2515 or replying by email to this post!

**Don't forget about our FREE car seat program. FREE BRAND NEW infant, convertible and booster seats are available for families in need**
