Beginning on Monday, October 12th, classes will take place on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. Nourish yourself all winter through walking, seated, standing, and supine meditations for deep relaxation. No meditation experience necessary. Ages 15+ are welcome.
Larissa Hall Carlson, M.A. facilitates the Community Mindfulness classes as a community service; she was inspired by the Tibetan monks' visit to Manchester and creation of the sand mandala, and how it brought community members together. The highly regarded yoga and mindfulness instructor stated,"I have seen entire communities benefit from secular mindfulness—it can have enormously positive social impact."
Larissa Hall Carlson has taught mindfulness and meditation professionally for over 15 years at some of our country's most prestigious institutions, including The Boston Conservancy, Julliard School, Nashville Ballet, Tanglewood Music Center, Berkshire Opera Company, Princeton University, Emma Willard, Canyon Ranch, and more. She holds a Masters degree in Mindfulness Studies, travels nationally and internationally as a visiting teacher, and has served as a long-term faculty member at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.
