Please join us! Everybody loves a lilac in spring, but they need your help to remain truly healthy and disease free.
Saturday April 19th offers multiple opportunities to learn, gain experience, and help preserve the unique lilac collections at the UVM Horticulture Research and Education Farm. Practice pruning on our trees, then go home and take care of yours!
All About Lilacs, Saturday, April 19th 9:00 am to Noon
Hort Farm Lilac Curator and nationally recognized lilac expert Jeff Young will share his knowledge about many of the 2000 kinds of lilacs; how to care for them, when and how to prune, sun and soil needs, diseases, and maintenance.
Practice your new skills during the afternoon pruning workshop using the Hort Farm collection. (1:00 to 4:00)
Cost: FHF members and Master Gardeners $10/ General Public $20

Perennial Garden Wake Up! 9:00 to Noon
Master Gardeners and volunteers needed to help wake up the Perennial Garden.
Come take part in spring clean-up to prepare for our May 17th Bloomtime Festival.
Bring pruning shears/ weeding tools.
