Greetings neighbors! This is the time of year when Friends of the Huntington Public Library and the library trustees are usually getting ready for the much anticipated, Annual Chicken Barbeque. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we have decided to skip the barbeque this year and instead celebrate books, reading, and our town library in our very first Get Out and Read event!

To kick off Get Out and Read and in honor of the Chicken BBQ, the Hindquarter has offered to make a chicken dinner for their "Pop-Up Dinner" on Wednesday, September 23rd. Additionally, the Hindquarter has generously offered to donate 10% of their proceeds from the chicken dinner to Friends of the HPL! Never has there been a better time to support the Hindquarter and your library.

We are also excited to announce that Friends of the Huntington Public Library has beautiful "Friend of Huntington Public Library" canvas tote bags available for a minimum donation of $25.00, and stickers too! We will be set up in front of the library on Wednesday, September 23rd, from 4:00-6:00 if you would like to stop by and pick-up your bag and sticker! Feel free to make a donation on HPL's website and we'll be sure to reserve a bag (or two!) for you.
