Music this week at the Richmond Farmers Market!

Gresham Hadden Witten hail from the western foot of Camel's Hump Gresham Hadden Witten and are a fiddle-tune-based acoustic trio that push the genre into unexpected grooves. Known principally for their decades of goofy performances for family audiences (as the Swing Peepers), John Hadden and Matt Witten have teamed up with fiddle and banjo-wielding Pierce Gresham to go into party-jam mode.With the typical old-timey and grassy instrumentation of mandolin, guitar, banjo and fiddle, Gresham Hadden Witten play a swath of fiddle tunes from Pierce's native lands down south and then add the reedy accordion and harmonica to blend in Quebecois traditions as well as an inventive bunch of originals that draw on Appalachian, Celtic, French and other traditions. We look forward to them serenading us on Friday, September 18.
